Insta baby book

Image
I used the Insta Photo Fun line to make this book for my husband to keep on his desk at work. I like that we can keep adding new photos because it's a ring binder, so the photos will  be up to date and we will see her grow up in the little book.  It came together super quick too! Here's how I decorated the cover. I was trying to make it cute but not super girly....not sure I succeeded lol  Here they are at the hospital... ...and at home. He loves to be a goof ball with her. They both sleep with their elbows up! You Be Awesome too!!! Thanks for visiting!

Because Gold was Hot in 2014...

"Because gold was HOT in 2014, I piled a whole bunch of it on this LO for you"- Me to my daughter in the future I wanted to make a LO to write down everything her daddy and I remember from the time in our lives when she was only 2 weeks old. We both agree that it was a blur and we were zombies. We still are, somewhat lol. I used the Gilded Paper stack for my background and a couple page protectors and cards form the Insta Photo fun line to hide the journaling.    I want to find another photo to put behind the page protectors, so I'm leaving this spot empty for now.  So, according to a photo tweet by Shimelle Laine, Silver is the new Gold...I guess I better use up my gold supplies berfore it's out of style...like photo corners...remember those?!

Proud Abuelita

My mom looks like a super proud grandma here, doesn't she?  She just loves my little girl and visits any chance she gets.  This is the Serendipity collection from Dear Lizzy along with some Crate Paper Kiss Kiss and Notes and Things. Right under the photo there's a CP rub on that says: 'I see pieces of me in you.' That's so true for both of them. I see myself in both, my mom and daughter. That's all the journaling this page needed!  Happy Crafting!

Home made gifts

Image
I thiink home made gifts are too special and time consuming to be given to just anyone. I try to give home made gifts only to people who are sentimental, show appreciation/display hand made cards/gifts, and/or are crafters themselves. One of my friends fits my criteria, so she got this book for Christmas. I hope she will enjoy completing it and looking at the finished product.      Because she does craft, I left the book pretty plain and included some matching tags.  I used a variety of DCWV stacks, including the 12x12 printed burlap, Story Book Christmas, 4x6 christmas and winter matstack, and last year's Christmas Made stack. I love to mix old and new products. We all have to tackle our stash and use out pretty paper, right? mixing old and new has never been a problem with DCWV stacks :)  I also used the DCWV adhesive fabric stack to make the spine of the book. I folded the adhesive fabric into a accordion and sandwiched each fold with the

Well, the title applies to the Pizza we had at that Pizza Hut in the photo, you see it?  It was a rainy Sunday in Paris and we were ill prepared. We couldnt find an open restaurant. All we found was a grocery store and bought some fruit. Then we found this Pizza Hut, we were bummed to have to eat american food but it was the only place open with hot food.    We were so dissapointed with the taste! And thats a lot to say when you're hungry and it's cold.  This is the Shimelle collection. I love it and can't wait for her next one!  The journaling card on the left prompts you to write what you were seeing, feeling, hearing, etc... Next time we're in Paris on a Sunday, we will definitely be better prepared!
