Boho Gift Bag

Image
Hello! I have a gift bag idea to share with you.  I'm using the new Boho stack out at AC Moore.  I used my scan n cut to cut out the 'Relaxation Kit' out of the paper and backed it with a strip of cardstock. The little flower is cut out from the stack and layered on another flower using Tombow foam tabs.  Inside the gift bag, there is a coloring book, color pencils and a gift card! Here's how I made a really easy gift card holder:  I used two journaling cards in the stack. They are printed next to each other on the paper. I just cut them out, used my circle punch to cut out the tab, folded them and used thin scor-tape around the 2 sides I needed to close.        The tags were the perfect size for a gift card.           Hope that life has been good to you this weekend!

Minty Lace

Image
Minty Lace has got to be by far the prettiest stack that DCWV has ever made. Ok, I guess it depends on your taste in paper...but... This is one of my favorites for sure! It has minty turquoise foil, pearl foil, and lots of delicate details. It's also a very versatile stack because the wood grain and navy patterns balace out the delicate papers.   The inspiration for this layout was the big ampersand cut file. I just couldn't find an .svg file that I liked and that converted nicely to an .fcm file for my scan n cut. After much searching, I decided to design my own. I cut the ampersand out of the ampersand patterned paper and backed it with the small triangle pattern so that some of the hearts are multiple colors. The heart off cuts are going to be so cute as embellishments on other pages!  I thought the ampersand full of hearts was perfect for this photo of my mom and my daughter. There's just so much love there!  I added some details cut from the stac

Love2Travel

A big Hello! We love to travel and once upon a time, we used to do it way more often! These photos are from our trip to London a few years ago. We really enjoyed it there. I always wanted to see the inside of those red phone booths. There's just something about them!  This layout was inspired by a page from the DCWV Globe Trotter Color and Create stack.  It's the paper with the colorful buildings, right behind the photos. I colored it in with Faber-Castell Pitt Pastels. The background is from the Scripts and Music Notes stack. You can find both of these at Michael's! That's my husband, Ben on the left. He's posing in front of Big Ben, hehe.  Thanks for visiting.  Hope you're having a great day!

Not at all Like ME!

Image
I really liked all the things in some of the new collections. So, for mother's day, I got to order a bunch of pretty things form A Cherry on Top. I got some Crate Paper Little You, Shimelle starshine and Fancy Free and I'm gonna use up all the things this time! lol I only got a few sheets of paper because I design for DCWV, so I have tons of paper that I love. I got one sheet of the little you collection and I spread it around all these layouts by using white cardstock as the base. WHAT?! Not like me at all! But I wanted to try and do something cleaner where I could use up a bunch of the die cut pack and stickers. So here are my clean, not at all like me, baby layouts: I really enjoyed using a different style. It helped me feel more creative and I cranked out all these in just a couple nap times!  Hope you enjoyed looking. Leave me a link if you want me to check out your creations too :)
